Concierge Support

One call. We coordinate the rest, so your family can grieve.

When a loved one passes away here in The United States and must be laid to rest back home, the funeral home, the consulate, the airline and the family at home all need answers at once. Our concierge team takes on that coordination for you, for any nation and any faith, and keeps your family updated at every step.

What we handle for you

  • Your faith's requirements, protected from the first hour
We make sure the clergy or community custodian is called first, so washing, prayers, viewing or timing rules are honored before anything is done to the body.
  • A licensed repatriation funeral director
We help you choose one with international shipping experience and work with them on embalming, the sealed container and the airline booking.
  • The consulate dossier
We gather and check every document the consulate and airline need: death certificates, the non-contagious disease letter, permits, apostilles and the consular mortuary permit.
  • The flight and the arrival
We track the booking and coordinate the hand-off to the receiving funeral home, family and cemetery in the home country.
  • One point of contact for the family
You get updates at every step, so no one has to chase five offices while grieving.

From $1,500

Your fee depends on the destination country, the complexity of the case and how quickly everything must happen. You will get a written quote after the free call, before you commit to anything.

Funeral home, airline, consular and government charges are separate and are paid directly to those providers.

Planning ahead for a parent or grandparent

Many families know that an elderly parent wishes to be buried at home. A calm planning session now means the documents, the consulate contacts and the family's wishes are ready if the day comes. Book a planning call.

For funeral homes, churches and community associations

If you serve diaspora families but rarely send a loved one abroad, we can coordinate the consulate and destination paperwork on your cases. Discuss a partnership.

Questions families ask

Are you a funeral home?

No. We are coordinators. A licensed funeral director always cares for and transports your loved one; we manage the steps, the documents and the communication around them.

Which countries do you cover?

All 193 nations, with country guides for Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, India, Ecuador, Nigeria, Ghana, Guyana and the Philippines.

How quickly can you start?

As soon as we speak. Call or message us on WhatsApp, or book the first available time.

Do you work outside New Jersey and New York?

Yes. We work by phone, video and WhatsApp with families anywhere in the United States.

General information only, not legal advice. Their Journey Home is a coordination service, not a licensed funeral establishment. Requirements change and vary by airline and destination.
